In the seventies the demand for slide calipers which were not only exact and high-quality, but also lightweight and handy increased. But how can the weight of a caliper be reduced without losing precision or robustness? The Schall Brothers found the solution: Alinox.

In the year 1973 the first slide caliper Alinox went into production. This caliper was permanently optimized and the range was enlarged: graduations divided by laser, antimagnetic executions, special slide calipers and large workshop slide calipers up to 3,000 mm.
